GRISHA BEGAN LEARNING TO MAKE CUSTOM MADE SHOES AT THE YOUNG AGE OF 7.
Over the last 50 years he has mastered the art of making shoes. From his creative pattern-making techniques to meticulous stitching style, it is no surprise that Grisha’s artistic genius for custom made shoes and custom shoe designs draws designers and shoe enthusiasts from across the globe.
Over the years, Grisha has worked alongside many renowned clothing designers including Bob Mackie, Pete Manafe, July Weiser, and Tony Chase. His shoes are worn by recognized names such as Dolly Parton, Janet Jackson, Rod Stewart, Natalie Cole, Paula Abdul, Tony Braxton, Suzanne Somers, Marilyn Manson, Prince, Shaquile O’Neal, Boys To Men, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and more.
But Grisha doesn’t only cater to Hollywood. A less recognized need comes from individuals with unique orthopedic-type foot conditions. Standard size, machine-made shoes fail to provide the comfort and support needed with orthopedic feet. “Grisha is my last resort” for custom orthopedic shoes is what most have to say when they first arrive at the shop.
Grisha has been hailed by many experts as the "Master" when it comes to custom shoemaking. His craftsmanship and artistic work has been debuted in many magazines and trade journals. In May of 2008, WealthTV will be airing a story on custom footwear and highlighting the work of Grisha.
When Grisha is not making or thinking shoes, he enjoys traveling and spending quality time with his family. Grisha lives with his wife of 40 years in beautiful Burbank, CA. He is a proud parent of three, and a grandpapa of two.
